Next Simultaneous event - BGB Sims 9th October. Don't forget that we don't
meet on Ash Wednesday and do not have a meeting in Easter Week.
Slow play
Slow play is unfair on other players and often extends the overall playing time by as
much as 30 minutes. Players should make every effort to start the bidding promptly
at the start of each new round and avoid discussion about the previous round.
All discussion regarding the current round should be only be enjoyed when all
of the boards have been played and the scores entered and agreed.
Calling for the Director
When you think there has been an infringement of the rules, always call for the
Director straight away. WAIT for a ruling to be given and listen to all of your options.
Remember if you hesitate your partner will be inhibited in the bidding and any bid
they wish to make must be justified by the hand they hold.
